5 Robe Alternatives for Wedding Prep
I present to you 5 Robe Alternatives for Wedding Day Prep. You’re planning your wedding and this may be your first rodeo. But you’ve seen photos where the bridal party is dressed the same while they’re getting ready for the wedding events. I’ve seen robes very frequently over the last 5 years of shooting weddings and don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love them. I haven’t seen a robe that I haven’t wanted because there is something just so beautifully elegant about robes. However if you want your wedding day to be a reflection of you and not just your Pinterest board. I’m giving you five other options if you don’t want to get ready in a robe.
Now, you’ll notice there’s a similarity between a robe and all of these items and it’s the ability to slip out of them. This is important when getting ready for any event because the last thing you want is to pull that tight tee over your heard messing up your hair and your makeup in the process.
I included links to items, I have no affiliations with any of these brands. I’m also sure you can find other brands that suit your needs and budget anywhere else on the internet. So feel free to use the links or shop around!
I haven’t personally seen this done but I love the idea that your wedding party is your team so weather you’re a baseball or not, a baseball jersey could be a really cute alternative to a robe. When searching for some I found a some women’s jerseys for $15 at Walmart. You can find them: here
2. Plaid Shirts
I love this alternative because I personally think flannel is the comfiest. If you’re getting ready in a cabin or somewhere surrounded by woods, plaid is completely fitting. It’s something that your wedding party can wear again and be reminded of your special day. I found this shirt from American Eagle but you can literally find plaid anywhere. Link to top : here
3. Cute PJS with piping detail
In case you needed another reason to head to Target they have these really cute pajama sets with piping detail. I think the piping detail gives it a very varsity or regal feel. They’re $20 for a set and you can shop them here
4. Satin Rompers
Satin Rompers are an easy way to class up the getting ready process. Your wedding party will look gorgeous in these. OneBunny even has different colors so you can find what best matches your wedding day palette. You can check them out: here
5. Button Downs
You can keep things classic with an embroidered white button down or give prep a bit of texture and opt for a chambray button down. And if you’ve never felt chambray, you are in for a treat. It is super super soft denim. I found this blue chambray button down for $15 at aeropostale : here
